Circus skills at Appleby and now Penrith
EDEN’S Euphoric Circus Group, which offer circus skills workshops, has moved to new premises in Appleby and is also set to open a base in Penrith.
Set up in 2001, Euphoric Circus runs popular workshops teaching circus skills and tricks and also regularly puts on community performances.
Previously based at Centre 67, Appleby, the group recently moved to Appleby Sports Centre where it is running classes teaching acrobatics, free running and general circus skills from 5pm to 7pm each Tuesday during term time.
The group is also trying to attract a wider age bracket of members to classes. While previously it was more of a youth driven workshop it is now trying to encourage members from five-years-old and upwards, including adults, so that it becomes a whole family activity.
Toni Spence, co-ordinator of Euphoric Circus, added that exciting times are ahead for the group as it looks to begin holding classes in the old Penrith Fire Station which is being taken over by Eden Arts. Anyone who is interested in taking part can contact Appleby Sports Centre or Toni Spence on 017683 62954.
